In 2017, Dr. Goldrick-Rab joined World Views on KGOU to discuss the financial barriers that are preventing Americans from accessing higher education, as well as the impacts a shifting educational landscape has on international students.
Dr. Sara Goldrick-Rab is a professor of Higher Education Policy and Sociology at Temple University. She is also the founder of the Hope Center for College, Community, and Justice, an “action research” center dedicated to understanding and supporting the issues that real college students face when accessing higher education. Dr. Goldrick-Rab has published her work on housing and food insecurity among college students in numerous policy reports, books, and journal articles. She has been named one of POLITICO’s top 50 people shaping American politics, and was awarded a Carnegie Fellowship in April 2018. She joined World Views on KGOU in 2017 to discuss her thoughts on how shifting financial circumstances are affecting the US higher education system.
